Rostering short-term and respite accommodation in Juste
A permanent SIL house has a stable group of participants and a roster that settles into a rhythm. Respite and Short-Term Accommodation are the opposite - different participants coming and going, stays ranging from a weekend to several weeks, and a support plan that has to be understood fresh for every new arrival rather than built up over months.
Why a static roster doesn't work
Software built around a fixed group of participants struggles when the house's occupants change week to week. Each new stay needs its own support requirements, worker matching and shift pattern set up quickly, not adapted from whoever was there before.
Overnight cover across different stays
Overnight and sleepover shifts still need continuous cover regardless of how many participants are staying that week, and still carry their own support item rules distinct from a daytime shift.
How Juste handles a rotating roster
Juste lets you roster a respite or STA house the same way you'd roster an ongoing SIL house - shifts across multiple participants, overnight and sleepover cover flagged correctly - but built to have new participants added and existing ones checked out as stays begin and end, without starting the setup from scratch each time.
